Atelier Vukmanov is Prague based studio specialized in architecture and interior design. With almost a decade of experience on the global architectural and design scene, we offer a novel and refreshing approach to the tasks of various sizes and program. Our design process includes collaborative dialog with the client and close integration of experts from related industries. We strive to achieve best results through multidisciplinary work that reflects 21st-century paradigm of humanity, culture, and world’s delicate interaction with nature.
Our philosophy derives from thinking of sustainability and integration of novel technologies in building design and construction. Combining digital technology as well as state of the art fabrication with traditional crafts and techniques, we are eager to deliver unique projects that transcend expectations of ordinary exterior and interior space. Our goal is to give the client a personalized visual identity, and extraordinary experience of newly built spaces, without compromising functional performance and cost-effectiveness of the development.
Adam Vukmanov Mag. arch.
Adam Vukmanov received his master degree in architecture (with honors) in Greg Lynn’s studio, University of Applied Arts, Vienna. After working with Span-arch he continued his career in London as Project Architect and later Project Leader at Acme, completing several large-scale projects in UK and Gulf region. Since arrival to the Czech Republic in 2013, Adam has been teaching at Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague and until 2015 was CIEE Academic Coordinator and Design Studio Leader at Architectural Institute in Prague (ARCHIP). Previously, he has taught design workshops at Center for Information Technology and Architecture (CITA) in Copenhagen, Department of Theoretical and Applied Aesthetics (School of Architecture, Lund, Sweden) and Architectural Association Visiting school in Paris among few. He received several awards among which are MAK Schindler Artist and Architect in Residency program, Los Angeles in 2010/11 and nomination for 18th Art Directors Guild Award in a category of production design and in 2014.
Klara Vukmanov / Concept Art & Philosophy
Klára Vukmanov focuses on the orientation of „self“ in privacy and in society. She graduated in Political Philosophy, Middle East Studies with the focus on context of Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) and mysticism, nowadays she is collecting the material for PhD dissertation about possibilities of human dialogue through imagination and imaginative way of creation. Her field of studies lies in ten years of intensive practice and teaching yoga. The immediate experience of motion, breathe and other person in intimate encountering without any statuses and roles teaches Klara to express the core of a thing, to get inspired by the timelessness and uniqueness of a soul, of genius loci that dwells inside us.
