This 5 day research based workshop at CITA.studio was exploring erosion, alluvions, decomposition and related processes which are key to the formation and transformation of organic and man-made environments during flooding periods. Students have been experimenting with inundation process by generating animated geometry through 3D stereoscopic cameras. The properties of each project were developed through the conceptualisation of a physical and digital representation. Its anaglyph (red/cyan) projection onto the physical model resulted in a precise overlap of realities. We were able to experience ‘’holographic’’ effects of complexity in simulation of change, growth, mechanical transformation and other latent large processes that form our natural and artificial environments.
